Iranian Election Fiasco
So what do the rest of you think about this latest fiasco involving Iran? Incase you have no idea what I'm talking about, Iran just had their presidential elections, and it was "supposed" to be a very close race between their current president, Ahmadinejad, and his rival, Mousavi. Now I'll be honest I didn't even know there was an election going on until I read about it very recently. But it seems that Mousavi is very popular with the younger Iranian crowd, and apparently they are very into their technology such as promotion by websites and text messages. On the day of voting, all access to text messages and political websites involving Mousavi were blocked. Seriously, WTF LoL?
All observations and pre-polls showed the election was going to be very close, if not Mousavi having a small lead. So election day comes, a huge, historic turnout happens, and then first the shutdown of communication, and second, a landslide victory announcement by the current president Ahmadinejad. Apparently something along the lines of 60ish% to 30ish%. Again, WTF? Do corrupt governments like this actually think that the common people are so fucking stupid that they have no idea what's going on here? I don't know the truth, some people do, but common sense tells me: corruption at large.
So now there's street riots and all kinds of nonsense going on in Iran. So whatever, I hope the best for the Iranian people and I hope the truth comes out, and corruption is weeded it out. Will it happen? If you know anything about Ahmadinejad, then probably not.
What do you think about it?

Sounds like the dictatorship in disguise has really put the beatdown on the protestors and the flow of information.
