Tomb Raider: Underworld (XBOX 360)
Pros:
The graphics and locations are very impressive. Controls are mostly tight. Quick time events are GONE! The Tomb Raider: Legend story arc comes to a fitting conclusion. The soundtrack/sound effects are good, but not really memorable.
Cons:
There is, unfortunately, one serious con. Sometimes the game's object detection glitches like crazy. You'll occasionally be able to run right into (as in, inside) a boulder. Another time I jumped onto a platform and literally fell right through it to Lara's unfortunate death. These are few and far between and throughout an entire playthrough happened maybe 2-3 times to me. Another missed extra is you can no longer explore the mansion (spoiler: I presume because it's destroyed), and you can no longer change Lara into a large selection of outfits. You get a few choices at the beginning of each level but that's it (note for Lara fanbois: NO SWIMSUIT OUTFIT). Also, this isn't necessarily a con, but the story is a direct continuation of Tomb Raider: Legend, so you might as well play that one first, it's just as good if not a tad bit better than Underworld.
Overall:
If you like Tomb Raider (especially the new ones by Crystal Dynamics), then you will love this game. If you've never played a Tomb Raider game, I recommend starting out with Legend, and then going to this one. They are both superb games. Exploration of beautiful landscapes and puzzle solving at one of it's finest. Oh and you get to stare at Lara's ass the entire time.
