Logitech Harmony 520 (Remote)

Pros:

This remote allows you to simplify your home entertainment system by organizing everything you do into "activities." For instance, one activity may be "Watch TV." When I select this activity in my own setup, it will turn on my television, cable box, and surround sound. It will also set the correct input on the television and surround sound receiver. When I change the channel, the remote will automatically control the cable box, and when I adjust the sound, the remote will automatically control the surround sound receiver. I also have "Watch a DVD" and "Play a Game" as two activities in my remote. The functions in these activities are similar.

The setup process is extremely easy via USB and the included software.

The remote will not become outdated, as the list of supported components can be updated online through Logitech's software.

Cons:

When choosing one of the "activities", it's necessary to hold the remote in place for a few seconds until all of the devices are configured properly.

The numbered buttons on the bottom of the remote are small and close together.

Overall:

This remote truly allows you to get down to a single remote. It simplifies your entire home entertainment system. My wife no longer needs to ask me for instructions on what to do to watch a DVD, etc. I would highly recommend this remote for anyone tired of having a multitude of remotes on their coffee table.
